About these terms
These terms apply when you use the Xedos Transport website or apps and when you travel on a journey booked through them. Xedos Transport is a booking and operations platform. The journey itself is provided by the bus operator named on your ticket (“the operator”), who is responsible for carrying you and your luggage.
Some rules differ between operators — for example luggage allowance, boarding time or cancellation charges. Those rules are shown before you pay and on your ticket, and they apply to that journey in addition to these terms.
Using the website
- Your account. You must be 18 or over to create an account. Give accurate details and keep your password and verification codes private. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
- Fair use. Do not misuse the website: no automated booking, scraping, reselling of tickets without the operator’s permission, attempts to bypass security, or bookings you do not intend to use.
- Availability. We work to keep the service available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Bookings and fares
- Fare shown. The total shown at checkout includes the fare and any taxes and fees listed there. Promotional prices and concessions apply only when their conditions are met.
- Seat holds. Selected seats are held for a limited time while you pay. If the hold ends before payment completes, the seats may be released.
- Confirmation. A booking is confirmed only when payment succeeds and a ticket is issued. If payment is taken but no ticket is issued, the payment is refunded.
- Pay at boarding. Where an operator offers it, seats can be reserved and paid to the conductor before boarding. The ticket becomes valid only after payment.
Tickets and identification
- Your ticket. Show your e-ticket or boarding code when boarding. Keep your booking reference handy.
- Photo ID. Carry a valid government-issued photo ID. The name must match the traveller named on the ticket. Concession fares require the proof stated at booking.
- Transfers. Tickets are for the named traveller and cannot be transferred unless the operator allows it.
Boarding and travel
- Be on time. Reach your boarding point at least 15 minutes before departure, or earlier if your ticket says so. The bus may not wait, and a missed bus is treated as a no-show.
- Timings. Departure and arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather, road conditions and other events can cause delays.
- Changes by the operator. The operator may change the vehicle to one of the same or a better class, or adjust boarding points when necessary, and will inform you where it can.
- Safety. Follow the crew’s instructions and wear a seat belt where fitted. Use the SOS or emergency options in the app, or call 112, in an emergency.
Luggage
- Allowance. Each operator sets its own luggage allowance and charges for extra or bulky items.
- Not allowed. Explosives, flammable or hazardous materials, weapons, illegal substances, and anything the law prohibits.
- Your belongings. Keep valuables, medicines and documents with you. Responsibility for lost or damaged luggage follows the operator’s policy and applicable law.
Conduct on board
Smoking, alcohol and drugs are not allowed. Treat crew and fellow passengers with respect and respect seats reserved for women, senior citizens or passengers with disabilities. The operator may refuse to carry, or remove, anyone whose behaviour puts others at risk or breaks the law, without a refund.
Children must travel with a responsible adult unless the operator allows otherwise. Child fares and seat rules follow the operator’s published policy.
Cancellations, changes and refunds
Cancellation charges and refund timelines are explained in our cancellation and refund policy. If the operator cancels your journey, you receive a full refund or, where offered and accepted by you, an alternative journey.
Our responsibility
The operator is responsible for the journey. We are responsible for the booking service we provide. Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, road closures or government orders.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Your personal data
We handle your personal data as described in our privacy notice.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top of this page show which terms apply. Bookings made before a change keep the terms that applied when they were made.
