Cancellations and refunds
How to cancel a ticket, what you get back, and when the money reaches you.

Which policy applies
Each bus operator publishes its own cancellation policy. The policy for your journey — including the cancellation charge at each point before departure and whether a fare is non-refundable — is shown at checkout before you pay and stays with your ticket. That policy decides how much is refunded.
Usually, the earlier you cancel, the lower the charge. Some promotional fares cannot be refunded; checkout marks them clearly.
How to cancel
- Online. Open My tickets, choose the booking and select cancel. You will see the refund amount before you confirm.
- Part of a booking. Where the operator allows it, you can cancel some seats and keep the rest.
- Counter bookings. Tickets bought at a booking counter are cancelled at a counter or with the operator.
- Need help?. Contact us through the contact page with your booking reference.
What you get back
- Your cancellation. The amount paid minus the operator’s cancellation charge for the time you cancel. Any fee that checkout marked as non-refundable is not returned.
- Operator cancels. If the operator cancels the service, you receive a full refund of the amount paid, or an alternative journey if one is offered and you accept it.
- No-shows. If you do not travel and did not cancel before departure, the ticket is usually not refundable.
- Pay at boarding. If you reserved seats to pay at boarding and did not pay, there is nothing to refund.
- Operator wallet. Payments made with operator wallet credit are returned to the same wallet.
How long refunds take
Refunds always go back to the payment method you used. We start the refund as soon as the cancellation is confirmed.
- UPI and wallets. Usually within 1–3 working days.
- Cards and net banking. Usually within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.
You can follow the refund status on the booking in My tickets. If a refund has not reached you after 7 working days, contact us with the booking reference and we will trace it with the payment provider.
Payment taken but no ticket
If money was debited but no ticket was issued — for example because the seat hold ended — the payment is refunded automatically once the payment provider confirms it. You do not need to request it. If it has not arrived within 7 working days, contact us.
Bookings made through a travel partner
If you booked through an online travel agency or another booking partner, cancel and claim your refund with that partner. Their cancellation process and refund timelines apply, and they pass the cancellation to the operator.
